Presently, Sheen is out of work, following the cancellation of his hit CBS comedy "Two and a Half Men," but Trump predicted that CBS President and CEO Leslie Moonves "will sign him perhaps for more money" because TV viewers enjoy watching the actor even in his current tumultuous situation.
"I'm a little bit impressed by him - we've seen worse," said Trump. "There's a great interest right now in Charlie Sheen, and you know ratings do mean something."
The Donald went on to admit that he did not think it would be wise for Sheen to continue the lifestyle he's been leading, saying, "He needs help. There's no question about it."
Trump's prediction for Sheen returning to television may come true looking at the billionaire's track record. Trump revealed that before Brooke Mueller wed Sheen he told Mueller's parents, "You cannot let your daughter marry him," anticipating that the couple's relationship would turn sour.
"Late Show with David Letterman" airs weeknights on CBS.
