The loyal husband is still mourning the shocking death of his beloved Natasha. "It hits me in the middle of the night. I'm out walking. I?m feeling quite content. And it's like suddenly, boom," he revealed.
Liam received word of his wife's skiing accident while on location in Canada for 'Chloe.' He rushed to her hospital bed in Montreal and the two were transported to New York's Lenox Hill Hospital. Natasha was later pronounced dead due to her severe head injury on March 18, 2009.
Following the funeral services, Liam buried himself in continuing to film 'Chloe' to avoid fully processing the grieving period. "I think I survived by running away some. Running away to work," he confessed to Esquire. "You can't prepare for [grief.] You think you're gonna cry and get it over with. You make those plans, but they never work."
Liam was left to raise the couple's two sons, now both teenagers, and Natasha's poodle. The actor will be back on the big screen in 'Unknown,' in theaters February 18.
