"I can't believe that rumor's still going on," Teresa said on Wednesday night. "No, he's totally my friend."
Teresa plays Tori, the love interest of Matt (Topher Grace), who goes to great lengths to try and win her heart in the hilarious, coming-of-age comedy 'Take Me Home Tonight.'
"We really wanted to make the lost John Hughes movie," said Topher, 32, who executive produced the film. "I wish I lived in a time when I could have been in the Brat Pack. This is me living out my fantasy of being able to do that."
The movie was set in 1988. A time that some of the cast doesn't even remember.
"I was learning to walk [in 1988]," said Teresa, who turned 25 on February 26.
"I was three years old in 1988," said Michelle Trachtenberg, 25, who started her acting career that same year.
"In '88 I was in 4th grade I think," said Topher. "So there was very pressing issues of not wetting the bed I'm sure."
"I think I had Tsunami bangs and a perm," said Anna Faris, 34.
"I was wearing all my brother's clothes at the time," said Chris Pratt, 31. "He was a few years older than me but a lot of really tight, rolled-up-at-the-bottom acid wash jeans I think I remember. That was pretty ugly."
'Take Me Home Tonight' hits theaters March 4.
